Our recent author greet and meet at the East Syracuse Free Library was a big success, and has paved a path for local writers to meet twice a year to display, sell, and autograph their books. I’d like to offer a special thanks to the director, Laurie Thompson Rachetta, who happens to be an old high school classmate of mine. Without her, the whole thing wouldn’t have been possible. She has expressed interest to hold the event twice a year for all local authors who want to participate.

In August, I’ll begin a list of interested parties. If you are a local author looking for a place to sell, this is a good opportunity. We all know how hard it is in this area to find book signings with a lack of Indie bookstores.
Don Massenzio and friends
I’d also like thank my good friend, Don Massenzio, who also happens to be an old classmate of mine, for helping spread the word, and bring in lots of followers to the event. It was his idea to put this event together, and I can’t thank him enough for all that he’s done to help my writing career as well. Seven local authors attended the event, and most sold at least a couple books, but the real success was the fellowship and helpful hints we gave and got from each other during the event. What a great group!
I’ll be posting more pictures from the event next week. I’m already looking forward to our next one in September or October! I love it when a plan comes together!
